Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data displayed in the comment form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to aid spam detection.

An anonymous string created from your email address (also called a hash) can be provided to the gravatar service to see if you are using it. The privacy policy for the Gravatar service is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture will be visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Website visitors can download and extract location data from images on the website.

If you leave a comment on our site, you can choose to save your name, email address and website in cookies. This is for your convenience so you don’t have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so that we can automatically recognize and approve any follow-up comments instead of keeping them in a moderation queue.

Any user can view, edit or delete their personal information at any time (with the exception of the user name which cannot be edited). Website administrators can also view and edit such information.
